BMI Calculator
Insurers look at your height and weight before approving health and term insurance. Check your BMI and healthy weight range in seconds.
How this calculator works
BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height (m)². The calculator uses the Asian Indian cut-offs: healthy 18.5–22.9, overweight 23–24.9 and obese 25 and above.
Things to keep in mind
- Always declare your correct height and weight in the proposal form; wrong details can lead to claim rejection.
- A higher BMI may mean a medical test or a small extra premium, but you can usually still get cover.
- Buy insurance early, while your health is good.
