Goal Planner
Name a goal, say when you need it, and find out the monthly SIP or one-time amount required. Inflation is included.
How this calculator works
First, today's cost is inflated to the year of the goal: Future cost = Cost × (1 + inflation)years. Money you have already saved is grown at the expected return and subtracted. The remaining gap is divided by the SIP growth factor to get the monthly amount.
Things to keep in mind
- Education costs in India have risen faster than general inflation. 8–10% is a prudent assumption.
- For goals under 3 years, prefer low-risk options over equity.
- Keep one SIP per goal so you can track progress clearly.
FAQs
Why does inflation matter so much?
At 6% inflation prices double in about 12 years. A goal that costs ₹10 lakh today may need ₹20 lakh then.
Can I plan several goals?
Yes. Run the planner for each goal and add up the SIPs, or ask us to build a combined plan.
