PPF Calculator
Public Provident Fund is a government-backed, tax-free savings scheme with a 15-year term. See what your yearly deposit becomes.
How this calculator works
PPF interest is calculated monthly on the lowest balance between the 5th and the end of the month, and credited once a year. Depositing before 5 April earns interest for the full year. This calculator assumes yearly deposits at the start of each year.
Things to keep in mind
- PPF is EEE: deposits qualify for 80C (old regime), and interest and maturity are tax-free.
- After 15 years you can extend in blocks of 5 years, with or without fresh deposits.
- Partial withdrawals are allowed from the 7th financial year.
